This position is Paris-based, with relocation support available.

Team

Join Playbook, an agile internal studio dedicated to Castle Busters, one of our flagship mid-core titles. You’ll be an integral part of a focused team chartered with transforming this promising game into a market-leading, long-term hit.

Role

We’re seeking a talented and seasoned Game Designer who is deeply passionate about RPG/mid-core games and laser-focused on creating the next big hit. With extensive experience in the industry, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering fun to millions of players. As the driving force behind the game’s success, you’ll ensure the game reaches the highest standards of quality and innovation.

  • Own features from ideation to implementation and post-release optimization

  • Collaborate with Product, Analytics and Art throughout features implementation

  • Own game balancing, pace, feel

  • Always back up your ideas with available data points

  • Ability to deconstruct and analyze mobile games mechanics

  • Get involved in all aspects of game development: UI, UX, Game Design, logic, performance, etc.

  • Benchmark the market to stay on top of new trends

  • Understanding of models and tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior to inform design

  • Proficiency in Unity a huge plus

  • Familiarity with Figma, Miro or similar visual collaboration software

Profile

  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a game designer

  • Experience working on mobile games, F2P or RPG

  • Creative and hacker mindset

  • Good sense of gameplay experience, and special attention to detail

  • Communication skills in English, both written and verbal

  • Knowledge of casual games

  • Deep collaboration mindset, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a positive mindset towards receiving, acting on, and giving feedback

  • Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership over your work

  • An eagerness to learn new ways to perform your tasks in a more efficient way, and to improve yourself day after day
