We’re a fast-growing product company building an AI-powered platform used by thousands of teams every day. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to own critical services end-to-end — from design to production — and help us scale to the next order of magnitude. You’ll join a small, senior team where your decisions have real impact.

Tasks

– Design, build and operate scalable backend services (Python / FastAPI) and REST APIs.
– Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas; write efficient async queries.
– Own services end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and monitoring.
– Integrate third-party APIs and internal microservices behind a gateway.
– Improve reliability, performance and security under high concurrency.
– Collaborate with product and frontend to ship features that matter.
– Mentor mid-level engineers and raise the bar on code quality.

Requirements

– 5+ years building production backend systems in Python.
– Strong experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django) and async programming.
– Solid PostgreSQL skills: schema design, indexing, query optimization.
– Experience designing and scaling REST APIs and microservices.
– Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD and cloud (AWS preferred).
– Good understanding of auth (JWT/OAuth), caching and message queues.
– Clear written and spoken English; pragmatic, ownership mindset.
Nice to have: Kubernetes, SQLAlchemy, observability (Prometheus/Grafana), LLM/AI integrations
